CM KCR Announces Rs 150 cr For Nagarjuna Sagar

Hyderabad, Aug.2 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today announced Rs 150 cr sops for Nagarjuna Sagar segment and 15 lift schemes in Nalgonda district development and stated to implement Dalit Bandhu scheme.

He addressed a meeting at Halia near Nagarjuna Sagar with Minister G Jagadish Reddy, G Sukhender Reddy, MLA Nomula Bhagath and other local leaders.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister criticized that the Centre is against Telangana interests and Andhra Pradesh was trying to dominate on Krishna water river issue. We will fight for our right for water and involve people in the development, he asserted.

The Chief Minister announced 15 lift projects in the district and to complete within one and half years. He announced sops for hospitals, roads, community halls and basic amenities in the district.

For supporting TRS candidate Bhagath we extend thanks and continue to develop the district, he said. He said to regularize the sites for those who are staying in irrigation lands and Nandikonda municipal quarters and construct a Banzara Bhavan for Banzaras.

Stating to offer Rs 15 cr each to Halia, and Nandikonda municipalities, he sought support and blessings of the people for state development and sanctioned a degree college and a mini stadium.

Health facilities are not so good which will be improved soon, he said. Congress leader K Jana Reddy ridiculed me in the Assembly when I promised to give uninterrupted power in 2 years. However on proving it real Jana Reddy failed to keep promise to support the TRS, KCR recalled.

We will work out a plan to implement Dalit Bandhu scheme by spending Rs 1 lakh cro and ensure that 100 families in each segment will get Rs 10 lakh each. This scheme was taken up for empowerment of the SCs who have been lagging behind.

The Chief Minister accused the opposition parties of mud-slinging on the government and expressing doubts on Dalit Bandhu to become a role model to the country.

On the lines of Rythu Bandhu the cabinet decided to implement Dalit Bandhu he said. With this about 12 lakhs of eligible Dalit families out of 17 lakhs population will benefit from this scheme.

We will take our share from Krishna River and ensure water to crops under Nagarjuna Sagar, he added. (Maxim News)
