CM KCR Inspected Construction Works of New Secretariat
Hyderabad, Nov 17: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has inspected the construction of the new Secretariat and reviewed the progress of the construction work .
KCR along with the Minister for Roads and Buildings Prashanth Reddy, officials of the Road and Building departments, today, the construction work of the Secretariat is almost completed, interior works are going on in full swing, work is in progress in three shifts.
Before coming to the new Secretariat, KCR reviewed the condition of roads in Telangana with the officials of Roads and Building department and Panchayat Raj department, after that, the Chief Minister held a meeting with the officials of health department.
According to the sources from the Chief Minister office, the new Secretariat building which is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 617 crores is expected that the building will remain intact for 150-200 years for which the authorities and the construction company have paid special attention. Construction of chambers, interior design, electrical, plumbing, workstation setup, coloring, flooring, marbles, construction of porticoes, all these different types of work are being done simultaneously. The new secretariat is being constructed using the green building concept to bring in natural air and light.
