Hyderabad, June 20 (Maxim News): The prestigious Kaleswaram project will be launched on today at Jayashankar Bhupalapally district followed by pujas. The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will inaugurate the much touted world class project by releasing waters from Kannepally pump house and Medigadda barrage after a two hour long Homam. On behalf of the state government, the Health Minister Etala Rajender has inspected the arrangements at the project site with officials a day before its launch. As per the arrangements the government pressed into action five helicopters and 16 helipads at different places.
The state Government has constructed the project by redesigning it at an estimated cost of about Rs 81000 cr. Later the cost for the project was also raised by Rs 11,000 cr. The chief minister has already announced that the project will irrigate 45 lakh acres in Telangana and push the agriculture production to a new high. The choppers pressed into action would bring the chief guests of the event from Maharashtra including Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao and Chief Minister Devendra Fadavis for the launch. The CM of the neighbouring state YS Jaganmohan Reddy is also attending the inaugural function. (Maxim News)
