Hyderabad, April 15 (Maxim News): BJP Telangana state president N. Ramchandra Rao has criticized Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for deliberately spreading false propaganda on the issue of delimitation of constituencies.
Speaking at a media conference organized in Warangal today (Wednesday), he reacted strongly to the CM’s comments. He clarified that the redivision of constituencies is a constitutional process. “The increase in seats is done on the basis of the 2011 census. There is no room for any doubt in this. But Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is doing politics by talking to create confusion among the people,” he said.
Ramachandra Rao asserted that the ‘hybrid system’ proposed by CM Revanth Reddy does not exist anywhere in the world. He dismissed Revanth Reddy’s proposals regarding delimitation as absurd and not legal. He flagged that the INDIA alliance and the Congress party were creating misconceptions among the people only for political gains.
“There is no truth in the propaganda that injustice is being done to the southern states in the matter of increasing the constituencies. CM Revanth Reddy should stop misleading the people with his irresponsible comments,” said Ramachandra Rao. At a time when the debate on the delimitation process is going on across the country, Ramachandra Rao criticized the state Chief Minister for making comments that are just to smear the central government. He reiterated on this occasion that the delimitation process will be carried out transparently as per the law. (Maxim News)
