Comedian Prudhviraj announces his entry into Jana Sena
Hyderabad, August 6: Tollywood comedian Prudhviraj Balireddy on Saturday announced his entry into the Jana Sena after meeting Jana Sena leader and actor Naga Babu. He will officially join Jana Sena in the presence of its president Pawan Kalyan during latter visit to East and West Godavari districts.
Currently, the Jana Sena chief is in Chaturmasya Deeksha. Most likely, Prudhviraj may get a chance to contest from Tadepalligudem constituency in next Assembly elections on Jana Sena ticket.
The comedian-turned-politician began his journey in politics by joining megastar Chiranjeevi floated Praja Rajyam Party (PRP). After PRP merger with the Congress, Prudhviraj joined the YSRCP and campaigned for the party in 2014 and 2019 elections.
After YSRCP came to power in 2019, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy appointed him as chairman for TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC). Prudhviraj was forced to step down from chairman post due to sexual harassment allegations.
