Congress CM Siddaramaiah Sensational Comments Against Hindi And English

Bengaluru/Hyderabad, Nov 1 (Maxim news): Karnataka Congress Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has once again made controversial comments regarding languages. He accused the Centre of making Hindi mandatory in schools and neglecting Kannada.

Siddaramaiah expressed his concern that the natural talent of children in the state is being eroded due to over-reliance on English and Hindi.  The CM’s comments have become a topic of discussion amid the ongoing controversy over the three-language policy.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who participated in the Rajyotsave celebrations in Bengaluru, accused the federal government of being negligent towards Karnataka.  he said that despite providing Rs. 4.5 lakh crore to the Centre, they are getting only a very small amount in return.  The CM alleged that despite generous grants being given for the promotion of Hindi and Sanskrit, other Indian languages including Kannada are being neglected.

Children in developed countries think, learn, dream in their mother tongue, but the situation here is different.  Siddaramaiah said that English and Hindi azre weakening the talent of children here.  Siddaramaiah called for legal steps to make mother tongue education mandatory in early school education.  He said that laws need to be brought to introduce mother tongue as a medium of instruction.  (Maxim News)
