Commercial LPG Cylinder Price | Hyderabad, Sept. 1: Oil marketing companies have increased the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders from September 1, raising costs for businesses.
The hike will affect hotels, restaurants, bakeries, canteens and other establishments that use commercial LPG cylinders. However, the price of domestic LPG cylinders remains unchanged.
According to the latest details released by Indian Oil Corporation, the price has increased across major cities. In Hyderabad, the commercial LPG cylinder price has risen by Rs 11.
The price in Hyderabad has now reached Rs 2,996 per 19 kg cylinder. Meanwhile, Delhi has recorded a Rs 9.50 increase, taking the price to Rs 2,747.50.
In Mumbai, the price has also risen by Rs 9.50. The cylinder now costs Rs 2,701 in the city.
Chennai has recorded a Rs 10.50 increase. The commercial cylinder price there has reached Rs 2,916.50.
Commercial LPG Price Hike Raises Business Costs
The latest increase comes after oil companies reduced commercial LPG prices slightly in August. Therefore, businesses now face a higher fuel cost at the start of September.
Commercial LPG cylinders mainly serve food outlets and other establishments. As a result, the latest price increase could add to their operating expenses.
However, households have received some relief as domestic LPG prices remain unchanged. The 14.2 kg domestic cylinder continues to cost Rs 994 in Hyderabad, according to the details provided.
The price difference reflects the separate pricing structure for commercial and domestic LPG cylinders. Therefore, the latest revision directly affects commercial users while leaving household cylinder prices unchanged.
Businesses that rely heavily on LPG may now need to account for the higher cylinder cost in their monthly operating budgets. Food service establishments could face particular pressure because LPG forms an important part of their kitchen fuel expenses.
The revised rates took effect at the beginning of September. Oil marketing companies periodically revise commercial LPG prices based on prevailing pricing factors.
For consumers, the key change this month remains limited to commercial LPG. Domestic LPG prices have not changed under the latest revision.
