Telangana BJP Chief | Hyderabad, Sept. 1: Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao said that the Congress government placed him under house arrest for the second time in a week.
Rao made the statement in a post on X. He said the latest house arrest prevented him from meeting the BJP Nalgonda district president.
According to Rao, unidentified persons ransacked the district president’s house. He alleged that Congress workers were responsible for the incident.
Rao said the government had earlier placed him under house arrest when he tried to meet protesting students.
He said that the latest restriction marked the second such incident within a week.

Rao strongly criticised the Congress government over the restrictions. He said democracy was under attack in Telangana.
He said that the government was systematically suppressing democratic activity in the state.
He also accused Congress of violating constitutional principles while publicly invoking the Constitution.
Rao said the house arrests reflected the government’s approach towards opposition leaders. He demanded that democratic rights remain protected in Telangana.
The BJP leader also criticised the alleged attack on his party’s Nalgonda district president. He said he wanted to meet the leader after the ransacking of his residence.
However, the latest remarks add to the political confrontation between the ruling Congress and the opposition BJP in Telangana. Rao’s allegations are likely to draw a response from the state government and the ruling party.
