Toxic Box Office Collections Day 6 Sees A Drop

Mumbai, Sept. 1: Toxic box office collections day 6 fell sharply as the Yash starrer earned Rs 7.45 crore net in India on Monday. The film recorded a 67.6 percent drop from its Sunday earnings, according to Sacnilk estimates.

The latest figures took the film’s India net collection to Rs 221.55 crore. Its India gross collection reached Rs 264.80 crore. Meanwhile, overseas markets added Rs 2 crore on Day 6.

As a result, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups reached a worldwide gross of Rs 304.05 crore. The film had enjoyed stronger numbers during its opening weekend.

On Saturday, the film collected Rs 25.15 crore net in India. It then earned Rs 23 crore on Sunday. However, Monday brought a major slowdown across its theatrical run.

The film played across 13,400 shows on Monday. Despite the decline, its total earnings have crossed the Rs 300 crore mark worldwide.

Toxic box office collections day 6 show Monday slowdown

Language wise, the Hindi version led the Day 6 earnings with Rs 4.40 crore. The Kannada version followed with Rs 2 crore.

The Telugu version earned Rs 68 lakh on Monday. Meanwhile, the Tamil version collected Rs 30 lakh. The Malayalam version added Rs 7 lakh.

The Kannada release also recorded the strongest occupancy among the major language versions. It posted 29.57 percent occupancy on Monday.

The Telugu version followed with 28.01 percent occupancy. Hindi recorded 17.52 percent, while Tamil registered 15.50 percent.

Night shows delivered the strongest occupancy for several versions. Hindi recorded 22.31 percent occupancy during night shows. Kannada performed better at 33.15 percent.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic stars Yash in the lead role. Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria also feature in the cast.

The film arrived in theatres on August 26. However, audiences and critics have given the film mixed reviews.

Therefore, the coming days will remain important for the film. Sustained weekday collections could determine how strongly it performs after its opening week.
