Congress MLC Amer Ali Khan encourages Muslim youth to take up entrepreneurship
Hyderabad: Congress MLC Amer Ali Khan urged Muslim youth to embrace entrepreneurship as a means of economic empowerment.
He was speaking after distributing salary cheques to workers of the Ministry of Cheese (MoC), a popular snack cart chain spread across Hyderabad, on Wednesday. The initiative, sponsored by Siasat Hub, aimed to ensure financial stability for employees.
MoC, funded by Amer Ali Khan, was launched to create employment opportunities in the city, providing livelihoods through a widespread network of snack carts. The salary distribution event reinforced his commitment to supporting workers and strengthening employment initiatives in Hyderabad.
Expressing concern over the rising unemployment among Muslim youth, Amer Ali Khan highlighted the lack of job opportunities despite a large number of qualified individuals being jobless in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana due to the negligence of the previous BRS regime. He pointed out that the recent socio-economic and caste census conducted by the present Congress government in Telangana provided crucial data on youth unemployment, including among Muslims. The Congress government, he said, would utilise this data to design effective welfare schemes.
Encouraging youth to make the most of government initiatives, Amer Ali Khan urged them to avail themselves of the Rajiv Yuva Vikas Scheme, which was allocated a budget of Rs 6,000 crore to support unemployed youth in Telangana. Under this scheme, funds will be distributed through the SC, ST, BC, and Minority Finance Corporations, benefiting around five lakh youth, each receiving Rs 3 lakh to start their businesses.
The scheme will be implemented from March 15, with applications being accepted through the respective finance corporations until April 5. Eligible candidates will be selected thereafter, and approval letters will be handed over by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on June 2, Telangana’s Formation Day.
Amer Ali Khan assured aspiring entrepreneurs that Siasat Hub would guide them in understanding the scheme’s guidelines and application process. He also pledged to facilitate the launch of several business chains like MoC, aiming to further empower Muslim youth through self-employment opportunities. (Maxim News)
