Congress stages satyagraha at Gandhi Bhavan, Leaders call BJP men as terrorists

Hyderabad, July 26 (Maxim News): The Congress party today staged satyagraha at the State party headquarters Gandhi Bhavan in protest against the summoning of party president Sonia Gandhi by the ED for the second consecutive term. TPCC working president Mahesh Kumar Goud, former TPCC presidents Ponnala Laxmaiah, V Hanumanth Rao and senior party leaders took part in the program.

Speaking on the occasion, the Congress leaders said VH censured party MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy for making negative comments about the party president Sonia Gandhi. Without taking the name of Rajagopal Reddy, VH mocked that some leaders were daydreaming that the BJP would come to power in the State after the next Assembly elections. He made it clear that the entire country would be turned into a fire pit if their party president Sonia Gandhi was jailed. He also alleged that BJP leader Subramanian swamy, who lodged a complaint against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi with the ED, was a blackmailer. He asked the ED whether it required several hours to question Sonia Gandhi in a single case.

Calling BJP leaders as terrorists, he said the BJP leaders make inflammatory speeches as soon as they receive orders from Nagpur, which is the headquarters of right wing organisation RSS. Referring to the decision of the RSS to hoist the national flag, he asked the RSS leadership whether they were reminded about the national flag after so many years of keeping it away. He mocked that the BJP was not born at the time of the independence of the country. He called upon the party leaders and workers to hoist the national flag on October 2.

Former PCC chief Ponnala Laxmaiah said it was shameful that some leaders were shamelessly saying that Sonia Gandhi should appear before the ED if it asked her to do so. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a evil and added that shameful that the BJP was planning to take away Congress party MLA in a shameful way. He also said it was equally shameful that the BJP had formed governments by poaching the MLAs of the Congress party. He said the inquiry by the ED against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi was full of conspiracy. He asked the CBI and the ED as to why it was ignoring the waste expenditure of the Prime Minister Modi? He asked Modi as to what happened to his Make In India program.

Party MLA Seethakka alleged that the successors of terrorist Nathuram Godse were harassing the successors of the Gandhi family. She also alleged that the ED was only targeting the Congress leaders and added that the ED was acting as an affiliated organisation of the BJP. (Maxim News)
