Around 167 students staying in hostel of the private Intermediate college at Katheru near Rajahmundry have tested positive for the novel and deadly coronavirus.
March 22: Around 167 students staying in a hostel of the private Intermediate college at Katheru near Rajahmundry have tested positive for the novel and deadly coronavirus. The health officials have placed them under isolation in the hostel itself for containing the spread of the pandemic.
However, parents are demanding the college management and officials to send their children along with them. But District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy has made it clear that students would be shifted to the hospital if they are in serious condition. According to officials, 900 students are studying in the college.
