Siddipet/Hyderabad, August 20: A couple and their two young children died after their car plunged into a roadside well in Dubbak mandal of Siddipet district in the early hours of Thursday.
The deceased were identified as D. Raj, 35, his wife Bhagya, 22, and their children Niyansh, 5, and Shanvika, 3. The family was reportedly from Balavanthapur.
Car Plunges Into Well on Siddipet Road
According to preliminary information, the family was travelling from Siddipet towards their native village when the accident occurred on the outskirts of Appanapally.
Raj was reportedly driving the car when he lost control of the vehicle. The car then veered off the road and plunged into a roadside well, trapping all four occupants inside.
Local residents alerted the authorities after noticing the accident. Subsequently, police and Fire Department personnel launched a rescue operation to retrieve the vehicle.
After several hours of efforts, officials managed to pull the car out of the well. However, all four occupants were found unresponsive.
The bodies were recovered from the vehicle and shifted to the Government Hospital in Dubbak for postmortem examination.
The incident has left the family members and local residents in shock. Police have begun an investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the fatal accident.
