Hyderabad, May 2 (Maxim News): The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team, Hyderabad yesterday, generated actionable information after making sustained efforts and apprehended two cricket betting organizers by name 1) R. Sridhar & 2) A. Srinivas, while they were accepting cricket betting amount in the limits of SR Nagar Police Station from the known and unknown punters directly and indirectly i.e., over cell phones for ongoing IPL Cricket Match in between Rising Pune Supergiant Vs Gujrat Lions teams playing in Pune here yesterday.

Seized (1) T.V. make Sony, (1) Setup box, (1) remote, (1) Laptop make HP along with connecting wires, (1) Intex Keyboard, (3) Note books which were used to write Cricket betting amounts, (5) Cell Phones and Net cash of Rs.1,92,000/-.

Particulars of the Accused:-

R.Sridhar S/o R.Bhuloka, aged 32 yrs, Occ: Business, R/o Flat No.504, Sun City Apartments, Block-A, Yellareddyguda, SR Nagar, Hyderabad; and A.Srinivas S/o A.Basava Punnaiah, aged 30 yrs, Occ: Business, R/o H.No.11 & 11/A, Flat No.G3, Anisha Apartments, Eenadu Bank Line, Nizampet, KPHB, Hyderabad.

The accused persons R. Sridhar and A. Srinivas are friends and they both hatched a plan to organize Cricket betting and to collect the betting amounts directly and indirectly i.e. through cell phones from the punters in Hyderabad. Since one year they are organizing Cricket betting. They are collecting and distributing the amounts of betting from near 25 to 30 punters in twin cities. On 01-05-2017 the said accused persons are running Cricket betting in an organized manner in his residence of R.Sridhar at Flat No.504, Sun City Apartments, Block-A, Yellareddyguda, SR Nagar, Hyderabad and accepting Cricket betting amount directly and indirectly i.e. over cell phones from them by watching T.V. on ongoing IPL Cricket Match in between Rising Pune Supergiant Vs Gujrat Lions teams playing in Pune on May 1.

The apprehended accused persons along with seized property were handed over to the SHO, SR Nagar PS, Hyderabad for further action.

The raid was conducted under the supervision of B.Limba Reddy, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, by L. Raja Venkat Reddy, Inspector of Police, West Zone Team with the assistance of SIs M. Prabhakar Reddy, P.Mallikarjun, L. Bhaskar Reddy and the Staff of West Zone Team, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad. (Maxim News)
