Cricketer Harbhajan Singh to join the Congress Party?
Harbhajan Singh, the ex-India cricketer who announced his retirement on Friday amid rumours that he may enter electoral politics, said he is getting offers from a number of political organisations. Speaking about his political career a few days ago, the cricketer stated that whatever happens, everyone would be aware of it.
Harbhajan replied that he has not considered it, but that he has had offers to join from numerous parties, but that he would need to sit and think about it thoroughly. He stated that it would be a difficult option since it is tough, and the cricketer does not want to do it half-heartedly. He also stated that he will go for it the day he believes he is ready. Earlier this month, Punjab Congress chief and fellow ex-cricketer Navjot Sidhu shared a photo with Harbhajan Singh with an intriguing caption, reigniting rumours about Harbhajan Singh’s next innings.
On December 11, Harbhajan met with Sidhu, only days after being rejected membership in the BJP. Harbhajan rejected a claim that he might join the BJP as “false news.”
