CS Reviewed on Strengthening of Medical Infrastructure

Hyderabad, July 24 (Maxim News): As per the directions of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar held a meeting with officials and reviewed the strengthening of medical infrastructure at BRKR Bhavan here today.

Health officials briefed the Chief Secretary about the measures taken up in this regard. Installation of PSA oxygen generation plants, making all beds in government hospitals into oxygen beds, ramping up of additional storage capacity of Liquid Medical Oxygen, increasing pediatric oxygen and ICU beds and strengthening and upgrading of district hospitals were discussed during the meeting, a release said.

Chief Secretary directed the officials to expedite filling up of existing vacancies, ensure adequate stocks of medicines, diagnostic equipment biomedical equipment, testing kits and other essentials. Chief Secretary also enquired about the progress in respect of the seven new medical colleges which were recently sanctioned by the state government.
