Cyber Crime Unit, Hyderabad Busted Social Media Fraud Case – Arrested One Accused

Hyderabad, May 17 (Maxim News): The Cyber Crime Police, Hyderabad City, have successfully arrested one accused person A-1: Kuna Dharma Rao S/o Thulasi Rao , age: 25 yrs, Occ: private employee , N/o.Amadalavalasa, Srikakulam R/o Srinivasa Boys hostel, Dilsuknagar Hyderabad. The accused cheated the innocent people by using fake social media handles and fake websites. involved in a social media fraud in Cr.No:402/2025 of Cyber Crime unit Hyderabad.

The property has been seized from his possession Laptop, Mobile Phones 02, Debit cards 02, Bank Pass Books 02, SIM Cards 07, Infosys ID cards 01, Hard disk 01, Aadhar cards 03

On 18.02.2025, the Cyber Crime Police received a complaint from a victim residing in Hyderabad. The victim reported that she is running an online business on YouTube. Accused person created fake Instagram and whatsApp accounts and he has been persistently calling and pressuring her to meet in person to purchase the products. After she denied his request, he posted a highly inappropriate and vulgar comment on her online platform causing distress and potential harm to her business reputation.

The accused created a fake website with the name Sex Medisco Company and Attracted persons to earn money easily and collected money from them. He has opened fake Bank accounts by using beggars Aadhar cards and created fake ID cards.

He created social media handles and chatted with the people by using fake Artificial Intelligence tools. (Maxim News)
