Dawood Ibrahim in Pakistan | New Delhi / Hyderabad, Oct 22: India has told the United Nations again that Dawood Ibrahim is in Pakistan. It objected to a report by UN Special Rapporteur on human rights Ben Saul, saying the report contains points that run contrary to facts. Indian diplomat Raghu Puri made the remarks.

Puri said Dawood Ibrahim lives in Pakistan, and that Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden was also found and killed there earlier. He cited UN records, according to the source, for the claim that Dawood lives in the country where bin Laden was located.
Ben Saul’s report describes the D-Company as a criminal organisation from India. It mentions that its head, Dawood Ibrahim, has terror links.
India’s representative objected that the report does not properly mention that Dawood is an accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial blast cases, or that India has long been trying to get him.
Puri said India’s pursuit of him should have been mentioned. He said that ignoring such key facts damages the report’s credibility.
