Hyderabad, May 19 (Maxim News) Department of English, Osmania University conducted an Emergency Annual Departmental meeting with all the Campus, Constituent, Government, Private and Autonomous colleges under the Jurisdiction of Osmania University, today, discussed the proposal for the reduction of credits for Undergraduate General English paper from 20 to 12 as per the virtual meeting conducted by Telangana Council for Higher Education with Registrars, Deans, Heads and Chairpersons of various Universities and Departments.
After thorough deliberations, the Department unanimously expressed the opinion and requested the TGCHE to retain the existing 20 credits for English.

The faculty members emphasized that maintaining the current credit structure is crucial for the academic and professional development of students, especially in enhancing their language proficiency and employability skills. (Maxim News)
