Don’t Fall Prey to Opposition Parties: Harish Urges to Gouravelli Oustees

Siddipet, June 15 (Maxim News): Finance Minister T Harish Rao appealed to the agitating oustees of Gouravelli reservoir not to fall prey to the opposition parties and said that the State government was ready to address all their concerns.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Harish Rao said that the oustees of the proposed Gouravelli reservoir have been offered the best compensation and Rs.15 lakh has been given to each acre which is the highest compensation under any project in the State. A total of Rs.3,816 acres of the land, almost it is 97.82 percent, has been acquired for the proposed project and the State government has already paid Rs.200 crores as compensation to the oustees. Only 2.1 percent of the land is remained that need to be acquired. We hope it will sorted out very soon, the Minister said.

Harish Rao alleged that both BJP and Congress were provoking the innocent people and misguiding them against the TRS government.

” Both BJP and Congress leaders don’t like construction of irrigation projects and development of Telangana State. With the construction of Kaleshwaram project and the revival of village tanks under the Mission Kakatiya, water facility is provided to the nook and corner of the State. But, opposition parties are unable to digest the growing popularity of the TRS government and are trying to create hurdles by provoking the innocent people,” he criticised. (Maxim News)
