Hyderabad, Dec.24 (Maxim News): Former MLA Marri Shashidhar Reddy said that they would hold the Centenary birth anniversary celebrations of the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh state Marri Channa Reddy on December 29,2019 at Shilpa Kala Vedika here.
He said that the Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu , Telangana and Himachal Pradesh governors would take part in the celebrations. He said that they would give away the Chenna Reddy national award for sustainable development on the occasion every year.
Former chief minister and former governor K. Rosaiah said that the character of Channa Reddy could not be compared with any other leader. Terming the former Chief Minister as a great intellectual, he said that he was lucky to have worked in the cabinet of Channa Reddy. He said that although he had worked with several chief Ministers, the experience that he got by working with Channa Reddy was different. He said that Channa Reddy should have lived for some more days.
Former MP V Hanumantha Rao said that Channa Reddy could talk on any issue. He also said that although Reddy belonged to upper caste, he worked hard for the development of weaker sections of the society. He said that Channa teddy laid foundation for Polavaram, pranahita Chevella projects. He termed Channa reddy as the best chief minister of undivided AP.
Former PCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah said that the current generation of leaders should take inspiration from Marri channa reddy. Senior congress leader Geeta reddy said that Channa reddy was leader of rare class. She said that Reddy was responsible for her growth in politics. She said that Reddy had brought naxalites into main stream by lifting ban on them. (Maxim News)
