Drinking Water Problem In GHMC Limits Solved: KTR

KTR said that CM KCR solved chronic drinking water problem of residents of GHMC after taking over the mantle of state in 2014

Hyderabad, Nov.19 (Maxim News): The State Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao today said that the Chief Minister KCR had solved the chronic drinking water problem of the residents of GHMC after taking over the mantle of the state in the year 2014.

He reminded the people about the regular scenes of women carrying pots on roads to bring a water in February and March months every years. And added that such scenes were a common a sight during the summer season. He also recalled that some areas of the city used to get water for every 14 days. He said that they had spent Rs.2000 crore to provide water to all the areas of the GHMC.

Claiming that none of the past rulers of the state thought about solving the drinking water problem during the last 75 years after the construction of Osman Sagar and Himayath Sagar in the year 1916, he said that the state government was now constructing Keshavapuram reservoir to meet the drinking water needs of the state government.
