Dubai/Internet/Hyderabad, Aug 5 (Maxim News): Dubai was rocked by a series of explosions. Seven explosions occurred in 20 minutes on Wednesday morning. Emirati authorities said that the explosions took place in the Jebel Ali Industrial Zone in Dubai. Dubai authorities did not reveal who carried out the blasts and attacks. Heavy fire and smoke spread in the area where the explosions took place. Locals said that a huge fire broke out at a warehouse used for storing and transporting oil near the port. Iraqi media reported that the explosions were caused by missile attacks from Yemen.
Emirati officials did not respond to this either. Authorities stopped locals from taking videos of the explosions. The locals were panicked due to these explosions. The world’s largest port is located near the site of the explosion. Authorities did not provide details about the loss of life and property in the incident. On the other hand, explosions also occurred in the Yemeni capital Sanaa. Yemeni officials say that these explosions were caused by airstrikes or missile attacks on Yemen territory. Authorities have not made any statement on the damage caused by these explosions. On the other hand, talks are underway between Iran and Oman on the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Ships will enter through the Persian Gulf, which is under Iranian control, and leave through the Omani-controlled route. If an agreement is reached between the two countries, there will be no disruption to shipping. For this agreement to be possible, the US sanctions on Iranian ports must first be lifted. However, the US has opposed this agreement in the past. The US believed that this would shift the entire shipping route to Iran. However, this time, there is a possibility that the US will change its mind. (Maxim News)
