Eatala Rajender Launches Ayurveda Raksha Kit for Corona Warriors

Hyderabad: To boost the immunity levels among front line health care workers and police personnel who are involved in maintaining essential services in the designated red zones during the ongoing lockdown, the State AYUSH wing on Saturday launched a special ‘Ayurveda Raksha Kit’.

Health Minister, Eatala Rajender formally released the first batch of the kit by distributing them to Hyderabad Central Joint CP, P.Vishwanath Prasad and IGP (Home Guards) B.Bala NagaDevi in the presence of senior officials from police and AYUSH.

The Ayurveda kit contains five different Ayurveda-based medicines that promise to enhance the body immunity, which is vital for those deployed to contain the virus spread. In the first phase, the AYUSH authorities are planning to distribute close to 20,000 such kits among police personnel and health care workers in Telangana.

“Ayurveda medicines are ideal to build immunity levels. The decision to distribute such kits to police and health officials who are involved in red zones is a novel initiative,” the minister said.

He pointed out that India compared to other countries has managed to handle the coronavirus crisis efficiently. “Less number of cases when compared to other countries reflects that the intensity of coronavirus is less in India,” he said.

AYUSH Commissioner Dr. Alagumalai Varshini, Additional Commissioner, AYUSH, Telangana, Anasuya and other senior officials from the department were present.
