Hyderabad, August 2: A 76 year old woman suffered a heart attack after airline staff allegedly took away her wheelchair at Shamshabad Airport.
The woman, identified as Saroja from Aminpur in Sangareddy district, was returning from the United States.
She had travelled to America for treatment related to heart and neurological health issues.
Saroja travelled on Etihad Airways on August 10 and reached Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
As she could not walk properly, her family had arranged a wheelchair at the airport.
However, her family alleged that airline staff forcibly took the wheelchair away.
As a result, Saroja struggled to walk out of the airport after reaching Shamshabad.
She reportedly suffered a heart attack after reaching home and was rushed to a hospital.
Her condition was reported to be critical.
Meanwhile, her family approached the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police with a complaint.
Police registered a case against the airline and GHIAL officials and began an investigation.
