Enforcement Teams Seize Rs. 6.89 Crore in Cash and Assets in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, May 11 (Maxim News): In the last 24 hours, enforcement teams have seized assets worth Rs. Rs. 6,89,05,563/-.  which includes cash of Rs. 34,28,500/- in cash and other valuables along with Rs. 6,54,77,063/- in cash and valuables. 126.70 liters of liquor were seized, Registered cases against 9 individuals and the arrest of 6 suspects.

Addressing the media, Ronald Ross, Hyderabad District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner said that 19 complaints related to cash and assets, with 11 FIRs filed in connection with the ongoing enforcement efforts. Since the commencement of the election notification, a cumulative sum of Rs. 23,19,17,312/- in cash, and goods worth Rs. 25,97,76,637/- have been confiscated by various enforcement teams. This includes the seizure of 27,357.605 liters of liquor, resulting in 327 registered cases and 320 arrests.

Highlighting the operations of Flying Squad teams, Ronald Ross outlined the seizure of Rs. 6,02,28,955/- in cash and assets valued at Rs. 3,57,78,042/-. Furthermore, the SST teams accounted for Rs. 16,86,94,117/- in cash, along with goods worth Rs. 62,98,595/-. Additionally, Rs. 29,94,240/- in cash and assets totaling Rs. 77 lakhs were seized through SST operations.

To date, 690 complaints regarding cash and assets have been received and addressed, leading to the registration of FIRs against 444 individuals. Ronald Ross emphasized that 62 complaints related to MCC violations were received and promptly acted upon. (Maxim News)
