Excise Officials Seized Rectified Spirits Worth Rs. 2.31 Cr

Hyderabad, May 9 (Maxim News) Excise officials raided a base where rectified spirits were stored without any permits against the rules. In this raid, 21 thousand liters of spirit worth Rs. 2.31 crores were seized and a case was registered against two persons and sent to remand.

Kamalasan Reddy, Director of the Prohibition and Excise Department said that the raids were conducted based on reliable information that there was a large amount of rectified spirit used in whitener and other drugs without any permits in the warehouse of Jagdamba Chemicals in the Dulapally industrial area survey number 135. He said that in this raid, 21 thousand liters of spirit worth Rs. 2.31 crores were stored in drums.

Hanuman Ramsen and Hariram were taken into custody and a case was registered against them and sent to remand. (Maxim News)
