Hyderabad, April 29: Police busted a fake products racket in Kodad town of Suryapet district and seized counterfeit coffee packets and cigarettes worth nearly Rs 3 lakh.
Officials said the accused were allegedly selling fake branded goods in Kodad and nearby areas.

According to police, the gang was sourcing counterfeit products from Hyderabad and distributing them locally.
Based on specific information, police conducted raids in Venkateswara Nagar in Kodad on Tuesday.
During the operation, officers seized fake “Bru” coffee packets, cigarette packets and other products.
Police arrested three persons identified as Pavuluri Narayanamurthy, Anup Agarwal and Satish Edida in connection with the case.
Officials also seized four mobile phones from the accused.
Investigators alleged that the gang used counterfeit packaging of popular brands to mislead consumers and make illegal profits.
Police warned that such substandard products could pose serious health risks to the public.
Officials said further investigation is underway to identify others involved in the fake products network.
