According to initial reports, Yadaiah lived with his wife, Aluvelu, aged 33, and their two daughters, Aparna, 13, and Anita, 15. The couple had been quarreling frequently in recent days due to domestic issues. To help resolve the tensions, Hanumanthamma, 40, Yadaiah’s sister-in-law, visited the house on Saturday. However, despite long discussions that continued into the night, the family could not find a resolution.

Later during the night, police said, Yadaiah allegedly picked up an axe and attacked his wife, younger daughter, and sister-in-law while they were asleep. All three died on the spot. His elder daughter managed to escape the house and alert nearby villagers about the gruesome incident.

By the time villagers and local authorities reached the scene, Yadaiah had reportedly gone into another room and hanged himself from a ceiling fan. Police from Kulkacherla arrived soon after receiving the alert and carried out a detailed inspection of the house. The bodies were later shifted for postmortem examination.

Officers said a case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to understand what triggered the extreme act. The incident has left the small farming community in shock, prompting appeals for greater awareness around domestic disputes and mental health intervention in rural areas.
