Hyderabad, Sept. 11 (Maxim News): AIMIM Floor Leader Akbaruddin Owaisi urged the Telangana Assembly to give top priority to the fee reimbursement issue.
Owaisi said the matter remains important because lakhs of students continue to face difficulties. He also said thousands of college staff members have not received their salaries.
He further said several colleges are nearing closure due to financial difficulties. Therefore, he requested that his question receive priority during the next day’s Assembly proceedings.
Owaisi also appealed to the CPI and BJP members to support his demand. He sought their backing to ensure that the fee reimbursement issue receives immediate attention in the House.
Responding to the demand, Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu accepted the request. He agreed to take up the question on priority and postponed it for discussion on the following day.
Fee Reimbursement Issue Draws Assembly Attention
Owaisi said the fee reimbursement issue affects students, college employees and educational institutions across Telangana. He stressed the need for the government to address the matter without further delay.
According to his remarks, pending reimbursement payments have created financial pressure across the education sector. Students face difficulties when colleges seek payment for their courses and related expenses.
Meanwhile, colleges also face financial challenges when reimbursement amounts remain pending. Owaisi said the situation has affected staff salaries and placed several institutions under serious pressure.
The AIMIM leader therefore sought an early discussion in the Assembly. He specifically asked that his question become the first priority during the next day’s proceedings.
His appeal for support from the CPI and BJP added a political dimension to the demand. However, the immediate focus remained on securing a discussion on the financial difficulties facing students and colleges.
Minister Sridhar Babu’s response cleared the way for the matter to come up for discussion the next day. The minister accepted Owaisi’s request and postponed the question accordingly.
The issue remains a significant concern for students and private educational institutions in Telangana. A detailed discussion in the Assembly could provide clarity on pending reimbursements and the government’s plans to address them.
For now, the government has agreed to take up Owaisi’s question on the following day. The discussion is expected to focus on fee reimbursement and its impact on students, college staff and educational institutions. (Maxim News)
