New Delhi: FIFA World Cup 2026 champions will receive historic championship rings for the first time in the tournament’s history, alongside the iconic World Cup trophy and gold medals.
FIFA announced that the winners of the 2026 World Cup final at Jersey Stadium will be presented with bespoke championship rings, introducing one of the most recognisable traditions in American sports to football’s biggest tournament.
Each ring will feature the FIFA World Cup trophy on one side, while the other side will be customised with the identity of the winning national team. Every ring will be individually numbered, custom-fitted and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Immediately after the final, the winning team’s captain and head coach will receive temporary championship rings during the celebrations. The final versions of all 30 rings will later be custom-made and officially presented to the players and coaching staff to ensure a perfect fit.
FIFA said every championship ring will be part of a strictly limited edition of 2,026 individually numbered pieces, symbolising the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Of these, 30 rings will be reserved for the tournament winners, while the remaining 1,996 will be made available to football fans worldwide as official licensed collectibles.
The move marks a significant addition to World Cup history, giving champions a permanent and personalised symbol of their achievement beyond the traditional trophy and medals.
Meanwhile, the FIFA World Cup 2026 final will see European champions Spain take on defending champions Argentina. Spain secured their place in the final with an impressive victory over France in the semifinals.
Argentina reached their second consecutive World Cup final after an impressive campaign led by Lionel Messi. The defending champions won all three group-stage matches and advanced through the knockout rounds, with Messi scoring eight goals in the tournament to take his overall FIFA World Cup tally to 21 goals.
