‘Forward March’, Capt Uttam tells Congress party cadre

  • Congress party is all set to win to next polls: Uttam
  • TPCC chief holds live interaction with party workers
  • Appeals people to make Sonia Gandhi’s visit a success

Hyderabad, November 20 (Maxim News): Stating that the Congress party was all set to win the next Assembly elections, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy asked the party cadre to take up an aggressive campaign for the next 15 days to reach the masses.

The TPCC Chief gave the ‘Forward March’ orders to the party cadre including booth and mandal presidents in a live interaction with them through tele-conference and social media platforms Facebook and YouTube on Tuesday evening. He said that the People’s Front comprising of Congress, TDP, TJS and CPI has been accepted by the people and it has been receiving tremendous response all across the Telangana State. He said that the Congress cadre should not waste a single minute and approach all electorates at their polling booth level to ensure victory of People’s Front.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said instead of giving a Progress Report on the performance of his government during the last four-and-a-half years, caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and his son K. Tarakarama Rao were trying to divert people’s attention by raising irrelevant issues. He alleged that both KCR and KTR did not give respect to anyone and ruled the State in an arrogant manner. However, just due to the fear of losing next elections, KCR is talking about Telangana’s ‘Self Respect’. He said why KCR and KTR did not thought of Telangana’s Self Respect when poor Dalits of Nerella were subjected to brutal third degree torture for raising voice against sand mafia. Similarly, why ‘Self Respect’ was not in mind when Girijan farmers were booked in treason cases, arrested, jailed, handcuffed and chained just for seeking remunerative prices for their chilli crops? He asked.

The TPCC chief said that it was KCR who had mortgaged the Self Respect of Telangana before Prime Minister Narender Modi. He said the secret alliances between TRS and BJP was no more a secret and everyone in the State has realised that KCR was Modi’s agent and a ‘chamcha’ (sycophant). He said people were fully prepared to dig TRS party’s grave in the next elections. After the declaration of results on 11th December, KCR will permanently retire in his farm house and KTR will flee to the USA. He said the People’s Front will form the next government on December 12 and it would fulfil the aspirations of people of Telangana.

Uttam Kumar Reddy appealed to the party cadre to make the visit of UPA Chairpersons Sonia Gandhi to Medchal on November 23 a grand success. He said it would be Sonia Gandhi’s maiden visit after formation of Telangana and therefore, the Medchal meeting would be of historic importance. He said there would be huge change in political circumstances after the visit of Sonia Gandhi. He directed the party cadre, from Bhadrachalama to Gadwal and Adilabad to Kodad, to attend the public meeting voluntarily.

The TPCC Chief informed that Sonia Gandhi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi would arrive at the Begumpet Airport at 4 PM on November 23. The will go to Medchal in a car, via Paradise Junction, Bowenpally and Kompally to address the meeting

Stating that only 17 days were left for the polling, Uttam Kumar Reddy asked the party cadre to enlighten the people of Telangana on the failures of TRS Government. He said despite spending more than Rs. 50,000 crore in the name of Mission Bhagiratha, TRS Government could not deliver drinking water to people through taps at their households. Similarly, other promises like 3 acres land for Dalit and Girijan families, one job for every household, 12% reservation for Muslims and STs or KG to PG free education were not implemented. He said farmers got no help from the TRS Govt which consequently led to suicide by over 4,500 farmers. He said not a single farmer who suffered crop loss due to natural calamities got any compensation either from the TRS or BJP Government.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress, if voted to power, would waive off crop loans up to Rs. 2 lakh in a single take. Two lakh jobs, including one lakh in public sectors, will be ensured within a year after forming government. He said 20,000 teachers would be recruited through a Mega DSC within 100 days of coming to power. He said 10 lakh jobless youth would be paid Rs. 3,000 monthly allowance. He said the next Congress Government would introduce separate Sub-Plan for BCs and Minorities. He said nine essential commodities would be supplied on subsidised rates on ration shops to BPL families and the poor ST and SC families would be given free ration.

The TPCC chief had a live interaction through tele-conference with nearly 30,000 booth and mandal presidents in three spells. (Maxim News)
