Hyderabad, Sept 2 (Maxim News): On the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has directed to close slaughterhouses for sheep, goats, cattle, and meat and beef shops in its jurisdiction on September 4.
The notice issued under section 533(b) of the GHMC Act-1955 said that the decision was taken in view of the occasion of Janmashtami.
GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan has asked Hyderabad Police Commissioners for full cooperation to GHMC officials for closure of slaughter houses and meat shops within GHMC limits. (Maxim News)
