Hyderabad, Sept 2 (Maxim News): A delegation led by Telangana BJP Legislature Party Deputy Floor Leader Payal Shankar and other leaders met the State DGP on Tuesday and demanded stringent action against those who attacked the State BJP office and the house of the party’s Nalgonda District president, Varishit Reddy.
In a complaint submitted to the DGP, the BJP delegation demanded that an immediate, impartial and comprehensive investigation be conducted into all the above incidents. They urged that steps be taken to preserve CCTV footage, videos, photos, and other evidence related to the BJP State Office, the Nalgonda District Office, and Nagam Varshit Reddy’s residence.
Every person involved in the attacks should be identified from videos, CCTV footage, and other evidence. Cases should be registered as per law. The DGP was asked to conduct a separate investigation into the incident involving the insult to the portrait of Sant Ravidas Ji. If the conditions for applicability of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act are established, they demanded that a case be registered immediately under the relevant provisions.
They demanded that a special investigation be conducted into the alleged attack on Sri Nagam Varshit Reddy’s mother, and asked for strict action to be taken against those responsible.
Further, they urged an impartial probe into the role of public representatives or political leaders in the attack on the Nalgonda District BJP office, in adherence to the principle of equality before the law. They also demanded adequate security for BJP state and district offices, concerned leaders, and cadre. (Maxim News)
