GHMC, Police Officials Review Election Arrangements

Hyderabad, Nov 11 (Maxim News): Commissioner GHMC Lokesh Kumar asked to co-ordinate between GHMC and Police personnel in connection with the arrangement and conduct of GHMC elections.

During the meeting, Election Authority and Commissioner GHMC Lokesh Kumar asked to the officials, that there should not be any partiality while discharging duties during elections. To form flying squads circle wise and Static surveillance teams by the respective circle nodal officers. These teams should be formed immediately and to be sent to law department for authorizing magisterial powers.

Similarly the DMCs and ACPs to prepare route maps. Identification of polling stations is almost completed. To initiate the processes of identifying sensitive, highly sensitive, vulnerable polling stations.

Further the identification of Distribution and Reception centers already completed and with the help of police processes of barricading these centers should commence. The permission for conduct of rallies and meetings to be issued by the Deputy Commissioners and ACPs concerned.

Speaking on the occasion police Commissioner Hyderabad Sri. Anjani Kumar said the GHMC elections are different when compared to Parliament and Assembly Elections.

This time ballot paper is being used during GHMC elections and with the prevailing covid-19 pandemic the polling personal should be more vigilant. The joint Police Commissioner Sri.Tarun Joshi appointed as Nodal Officer, for GHMC elections.

In the nest 2 to 3 days there will be on line training classes to the police personnel he said.
For Khairtabad Zone DCP, A.R.Srinivas, Secunderabad Zone Sri.Kamlesh, Charminar Zone Sri.Gajarao Bhoopal are appointed as nodal officers, the police personnel are ready for conduct of elections at any given time.

Further he said due to recent incessant rains and followed by floods and close of schools due to Covid-19 situations, the condition of polling stations have to re-checked.

Cyberabad police Commissioner Sajjanar said already a meeting was conducted in this regard and there are 38 Municipal Wards under his jurisdiction.

Rachakonda police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat, GHMC Zonal Commissioners, DMCs Addl.CPs Joint CPs, ACPs and other senior officials participated in the meeting. (Maxim News)
