GHMC Prajavani | Hyderabad, April 20 (Maxim News) : The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation held its Prajavani grievance programme on Monday at the GHMC Head Office and received a total of 62 public complaints from different zones across the city.
GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, chaired the programme. Senior officials from administration, health, engineering, planning, revenue, land acquisition, and urban biodiversity divisions also attended.
Officials heard complaints directly from citizens and assured prompt action. The Prajavani programme aims to resolve civic issues quickly and improve public services.
Among all zones, the GHMC Head Office received the highest number of grievances with 35 complaints. Meanwhile, Shamshabad Zone reported 12 complaints. Secunderabad Zone received 9 grievances.
Rajendranagar Zone and Golconda Zone received 2 complaints each. Charminar Zone and Khairatabad Zone recorded 1 complaint each.

The Prajavani grievance programme allows residents to raise concerns related to sanitation, roads, drainage, town planning, taxes, land matters, and other civic services.
Moreover, GHMC officials said departments concerned would review each complaint and take necessary steps. They added that citizen feedback remains vital for better governance.
Therefore, GHMC continues to strengthen direct public interaction through regular Prajavani meetings. The civic body expects faster grievance redressal and improved accountability through the initiative.
Residents can also approach zonal offices for urgent civic complaints in addition to the weekly Prajavani platform. (Maxim News)
