GHMC | Hyderabad, July 17 (Maxim News): GHMC released a constituency mapping list on Friday to help voters fill the Special Intensive Revision enumeration forms correctly.
Many voters faced confusion because the SIR-2026 form asks for details based on the 2002 assembly constituency names. However, Hyderabad’s constituency boundaries changed significantly in 2025. As a result, many residents did not know which old constituency their current one falls under.
According to GHMC, the list shows which present assembly constituencies formed after the 2025 delimitation were part of which earlier assembly constituencies under the 2002 configuration. This directly addresses a common problem voters faced while filling the enumeration form.
Furthermore, getting this detail wrong can affect a voter’s ability to trace their earlier voter record in the SIR-2002 rolls.
The SIR enumeration form asks voters to provide details from their earlier voter roll entry. This includes information linked to their old constituency name from the 2002 voter list.
However, many residents of Hyderabad moved into newly created constituencies after the 2025 delimitation. Consequently, they could not identify their previous constituency name with confidence.
GHMC Mapping List Solves Key SIR Form Confusion for Hyderabad Voters Ahead of July 24 Deadline
📋 HOW TO USE THE GHMC CONSTITUENCY MAPPING LIST Step 1: Identify your current 2025 assembly constituency name Step 2: Find it in the GHMC mapping list to get your 2002 constituency name Step 3: Use the 2002 constituency name when filling the SIR enumeration form Step 4: Submit the filled form to your BLO before July 24, 2026 Online option: Fill the form at voters.eci.gov.in using EPIC or mobile number Need help: Call Voter Helpline 1950 (Toll Free) or contact your BLO
Additionally, the mapping list is a practical tool that resolves a specific pain point in the SIR process. The enumeration phase runs until July 24, 2026. Therefore, voters still have time to use this list, fill their forms correctly, and submit them to their Booth Level Officer before the deadline.

Moreover, the SIR process requires every voter to return a filled Enumeration Form. If a voter does not return the form, the BLO will classify them as absent, deceased, shifted, or a duplicate entry. As a result, their name may not appear in the draft electoral roll published on July 31, 2026.
Voters whose names are missing from the draft roll can then file Form 6 to request inclusion during the claims and objections period from July 31 to August 30.
Furthermore, voters can also search for their previous details using the CEO Telangana portal at ceotelangana.nic.in or the national portal at voters.eci.gov.in. Both portals offer name search options using elector details or EPIC numbers.
Meanwhile, BLOs remain available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM in their assigned areas to assist residents who need help with form filling or constituency identification.
