They debated key proposals and cleared several urban works. The focus stayed on civic needs, cost value and service quality. The committee aimed to speed up pending projects and remove delays.

Moreover, the committee approved a plan to send a proposal to the government for a one time scheme for the 2025 to 2026 financial year.

The members also cleared the plan for a multilevel parking complex near Khilwat beside Chowmahalla Palace. GHMC will take up the project on a DBFOT model with a fifteen year concession. The term may extend by five more years if the operator meets set standards.

The committee also approved tenders for the management of ten sports complexes in Khairatabad. It allowed the plan to lease out Khajaguda Sports Complex to a private agency for repair work. Road expansion plans and land acquisition for Hitec City project works also gained approval.

The panel agreed to move ahead with the tender process for fifty six shops at Abids Shopping Complex. It extended the lease of Bhagyanagar Gas Limited in the Quthbullapur Circle office area for three more years.

The panel also approved a fifty seat inbound call centre for GHMC grievance handling. The plan includes an upgrade of server systems to improve response time. The civic body now prepares to implement the approved works in a phased way. The cleared items may speed up service delivery across Hyderabad. (Maxim News)
