Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday held ‘paidal daura’ in Mallepally division of Nampally Assembly constituency. He was accompanied by Nampally MLA Jaffer Husain Meraj and AIMIM workers. Owaisi went around several pockets of the division and interacted with people.
He appealed them to vote for AIMIM in GHMC elections scheduled on December 1. Owaisi is banking on the developmental works taken up by the party in various places in division to garner votes. The Mallepally division has always been a strong base of AIMIM with the party retaining seats for several terms in the corporation.
AIMIM chief is holding a padayatra every morning in different areas of city and interacting with the people. In the evenings, he is holding street corner meetings at various places in city and addressing the voters. AIMIM is engaged in a triangular contest with BJP and TRS in the 51 seats where it has fielded candidates.
