Govt Takes Action Against Deccan Hospital For Taking Heavy Fees To Treat Covid-Patients

HYDERABAD: Telangana government on Monday cancelled the COVID treatment in Deccan Hospital, Somajiguda for allegedly collecting the heavy fees for treating Corona patients. According to the sources, the Telangana government started taking actions against the corporate hospitals for collecting heavy charges to treat coronavirus patients. Earlier, a lawyer was admitted in Deccan hospital, Somajiguda as he had a fever and was feeling weak.

He was tested negative for Coronavirus but the hospital allegedly shifted him to COVID ward and billed Rs 3 lakh to 6 lakh on pretext of treatment. He filed a complaint at Panjagutta police station against the hospital. The issued created ripples across the state and questioned about the treatment in private hospitals.
