Govt To Distribute 2.24 Gifts Packs To Poor Muslims On Ramzan Day

Hyderabad, May 15 (Maxim News): To mark the holy Ramzaan festival, the Telagnana Government was getting ready to distribute clothes to poor Muslims across the State on May 21. As many as 2.24 lakh gift packets will be distributed among the poor Muslims at the selected 448 mosques in all the districts in the State. The officials have selected 500 persons for each mosque and will give them gift packs of clothes.

The State government instructed the District Collectors to monitor gift packets’ distribution and hold Iftar parties at the mosques. The government was also making all required arrangements to offer Ifthar party to Muslims during the end of the month. The Collectors were asked to ensure that each mosque will get Rs 1 lakh towards Dawat-e-Iftar for the purpose. The officials have kept 30000 gift packets additionally if fall short. Those who do not get the same can avail of the gift packets at the mosques later. Mosques committees have selected the poorest Muslims like widows, single women and orphans. Each gift pack will have a Salwar Kamiz, Kurta Pajama, Sari and a bag. (Maxim News)
