Hyderabad, June 13: A gym trainer was arrested by Sanathnagar police for allegedly sexually harassing a woman pilot at a fitness centre in Hyderabad.
The accused, identified as Santosh Goud, works as a manager and trainer at a gym located in the Sanathnagar area.
According to police, the woman pilot joined the gym a few weeks ago. In her complaint, she alleged that Santosh Goud sexually harassed her while providing training sessions.
Based on the victim’s complaint, Sanathnagar police registered a case and launched an investigation into the allegations.
Police said the accused was taken into custody after preliminary inquiries.
Following his arrest, Santosh Goud was produced before a court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
Police are continuing their investigation to gather further evidence and record statements related to the case.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of women at fitness centres and workplaces, prompting calls for stricter monitoring and grievance redressal mechanisms.
