Halal Products Banned In UP
Lucknow/Hyderabad, Nov 19 (Maxim News): The gang of fakes is running all over the world. Fake goods are confusing what to buy. In this order, the Uttar Pradesh (UP) government has focused on the sale of halal (fake) products. UP police have registered a case against shops that trade on Halal certificates.
A government official said that there is a possibility of banning halal products across the state of Uttar Pradesh. The decision was taken by the UP government after the Lucknow police registered a case against some companies on allegations that people were raising some religious issues by doing business with Halal certificates.
A case has been registered against Chennai-based Halal India Private Limited, Lucknow police said. Also, a case was registered of the Hazratganj Police Station against the Halal Council of India, Jamiat Ulema, Jamiat Ulema Hind Halal Trust, New Delhi based on the complaint filed by Shailendra Kumar Sharma of Motijheel Colony in Aishbagh.
In his complaint, Shailendra Kumar stated that the sales of products belonging to companies that do not have halal certificates are likely to decrease. Issuing halal certificates for vegetarian products like oil, soap, toothpaste and honey, where such certification is not required, is alleged to be a conspiracy aimed at increasing sales of halal products. Shailendra Kumar also expressed concern that some people are committing illegal activities under the guise of religion and are accumulating profits with Halal certificates and funding terrorist organizations.
