In his complaint, Shailendra Kumar stated that the sales of products belonging to companies that do not have halal certificates are likely to decrease. Issuing halal certificates for vegetarian products like oil, soap, toothpaste and honey, where such certification is not required, is alleged to be a conspiracy aimed at increasing sales of halal products. Shailendra Kumar also expressed concern that some people are committing illegal activities under the guise of religion and are accumulating profits with Halal certificates and funding terrorist organizations.
