Harish inaugurates Renuka Yellamma Lift scheme

Hyderabad, June 20 (Maxim News): Minister for Finance T Harish Rao on Monday inaugurated a Renuka Yellamma Lift Irrigation scheme in Andole Assembly Constituency of Medak district.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the works are going on to link the Mallanna Sagar with Singur dam and after the completion of work, the irrigation water can be provided to about 1.86 lakh acres in Andole Assembly Constituency itself.

Stating that the Telangana was neglected under the successive governments of combined Andhra Pradesh, the Minister said that the Telangana government has constructed 15 check dams at the cost of Rs 122 crores across the Manjira river and now, water is available in the river for throughout the year.
