- KCR camp office attack triggers BRS vs Congress clash
- KCR Camp Office Attack Sparks Political Row
The KCR camp office attack has triggered a sharp political confrontation in Telangana, with BRS leaders strongly condemning the incident and accusing the ruling Congress of orchestrating it. The controversy escalated after former minister and BRS deputy floor leader Harish Rao alleged that the attack was carried out on the orders of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Harish Rao described the KCR camp office attack as an assault on democracy. He said Congress leaders were acting recklessly in broad daylight due to a “lust for power.” He added that repeated attacks on camp offices of public representatives raise serious concerns about peace and security in the state. He questioned whether law and order was being maintained effectively.
Meanwhile, he also raised concerns about the role of the police. He asked whether the police force had become a “private army” for the Congress party. He questioned why authorities were not preventing such incidents. He further alleged that while the government was silencing opposition voices in the name of the “Hate Speech Bill,” attacks by Congress workers were continuing unchecked.
Harish Rao also criticised the governance of the state. He said that while the Chief Minister and ministers were busy campaigning in other states, governance in Telangana was being neglected. He questioned who was overseeing administration in their absence. He also expressed doubts about whether Congress leaders had been given a free hand to carry out such attacks.
Furthermore, he accused the ruling party of undermining democracy. He said that instead of restoring democratic values, the government had “killed the existing democracy.” He warned that such actions were pushing the state towards what he described as emergency-like conditions. He asserted that the BRS would not be intimidated by “oppression, detentions and attacks.”
The BRS leader also made it clear that the party would continue to oppose the Congress at every step. He said the party would fight on behalf of the people in the public sphere. He demanded that the state DGP identify and immediately arrest those responsible for the KCR camp office attack.
He also issued a warning that if such incidents continue, people themselves may take to the streets to protect democracy. He urged authorities to act swiftly and prevent further escalation. The KCR camp office attack has now become a major flashpoint in Telangana politics, with tensions continuing to rise.
