Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar conducted the question hour as part of the Legislative Assembly sessions. On this occasion, the argument between Harish Rao and Bhatti Vikramarka continued.

BRS MLA Harish Rao said that according to RBI data, the Congress government had incurred a debt of Rs. 1.27 lakh crore in a single year. He said that by the end of its five-year rule, the debt incurred by this government would reach Rs. 6.36 lakh crore. He criticized Congress leaders for spreading false propaganda on the debts incurred during the BRS rule. He said that Goebbels had spread propaganda saying that if the debt incurred during their government was Rs. 4,17,496 crore they are saying that over Rs. 7 lakh crore. He said that a privilege motion had been given for this. Harish Rao demanded that a special debate be held in the House on the debt issue. He criticized that Bhatti Vikramarka had said before the elections that fulfilling promises was not a problem for them, but now they are evading by mentioning the names of the debts.

Later, Bhatti Vikramarks said that a white paper was released in the House so that the people would know the facts about the debts incurred by the previous government  He said that the government was not taking loans beyond the FRBM limit. He said that the government was ready to discuss this issue with the permission of the Speaker.  In this context, he expressed his anger at Harish Rao. “Don’t waste the question hour time with words that are far from the truth. Don’t mislead the House. We are ready to inform the people about the shortcomings of the previous government. Did Dalits get three acres of land and double-bedroom houses during the BRS rule? We did not hide the fact that we were taking loans. But you hid it then, he criticized.

Bhatti Vikramarka objected to Harish Rao’s comments to the Speaker, saying why are they telling us ethics?  He said it is not right to try to control the Speaker. “Harish Rao got up in the BAC meeting, threw the papers, and walked out.  The rules that were followed when Pocharam Srinivas Reddy was the Speaker during the BRS regime should be followed now too. We were told during the BRS regime that the Speaker would decide on how many days the House would be held.  Why is it not followed now? Everyone should respect the position of the Speaker. We should follow the rules,” Bhatti said.

Later, Harish Rao responded and said that he had spoken based on the rules book. He said that Bhatti had made the criticisms to mislead the House. He requested the Speaker to allow a discussion on the debts in this session itself.  (Maxim News)
