Heavy Inflow In Twin Reservoirs Of Osman Sagar And Hussain Sagar: Official On Alert
Hyderabad, Sept 26 (Maxim News): It has been raining in Hyderabad city since yesterday evening. heavy rain fell from 6 am to 8 amj on Friday. Heavy rain fell again one hour later. In the wake of the heavy rains, people’s lives have been disrupted. All the low lying areas have been flooded. All the roads have become rivers.
Moreover, heavy flood water has reached the twin reservoirs Osmansagar and Himayatsagar. This has put the authorities on alert. The gates of Himayatsagar and Osmansagar reservoirs have been lifted. 4 gates have been opened for each of the two reservoirs. As the flood flow to Musi is increasing day by day, the authorities have alerted the people of the low-lying areas.
The Indian meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in Hyderabad city today and tomorrow. In this context, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has alerted the authorities.
GHMC, HYDRA, NDRF, and SDRF teams have been ordered to be on high alert in areas prone to flooding in the city. Meanwhile, the IMD has revealed that heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur in Mulugu, Karimnagar, Vikarabad, Nirmal, Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Medak, Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool, Jagtial, mahabubabad, Nizamabad, Warangal, and Sircilla districts of Telangana.
