Hyderabad: 20 Beds To Treat Covid Patients At Chest Hospital

Hyderabad, Dec 20 (Maxim News): Superintendent of Erragadda Chest Hospital, Dr. Mahaboob Khan said that if the Covid outbreak occurs again in Telangana, we will deal effectively with it.  he said that special arrangements made accordingly.

Speaking at a special awareness metting held with the doctors and staff of the hospital, Dr. Mahaboob Khan said that the aim is to make all the arrangements needed by the patients fully available here. He said that 20 beds have been prepared for Covid in Chest Hospital at present.  He said that 10 beds are allocated for males and another 10 for females.  According to the need, steps will be taken to increase these. 

He said that pregnant women are not being treated here and they will be shifted to Gandhi and other hospitals. He said that there are two wards, one for general respiratory disease patients and other for Covid patients.  

He said that in the past, respiratory disease patients and Covid patients came at the same time and we faced some difficulties at that time. He said that 280 beds are continuously available for respiratory patients who come regularly. On the other hand, there are 60 doctors, 120 nurses and up to 400 other staff to provide services to the general patients. He said that arrangements have already been made regarding personal protection kits, RTPCR kits, medicines, ventilators, oxygen cylinders and other medical  equipment.
