Hyderabad: On the instructions of AIMIM supremo and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, MLA Kusar Mohiuddin along with GHMC officials and a deputy irrigation engineer inspected Shahhatim Lake.

The survey followed the completion of the lake trap cleaning project, which was funded by the GHMC at a cost of ₹36 lakh.

The cleanup, which began in early September, focused on a 16-metre section of the breaker vending tunnel.

This is the third major cleanup since the 2000 floods and demonstrates the proactive approach AIMIM has taken to maintain lake function and prevent flooding in nearby areas

MLA Kausar Mohiuddin urged the residents to ignore any misinformation spread by some people about the maintenance of the lake.
