Hyderabad Gears Up for Ganesh Festival 2024, Preparatory Meeting Held

Ganesh Festival 2024 | Hyderabad, Aug 24 (Maxim News): In view of the preparation for the ensuing Ganesh Festival 2024, Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City held an Inter departmental co-ordination Meeting with Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi and Khairtabad Ganesh Utsav Samithi, Police officers of Tri Commissionerate and other Govt., departments at TGC&CC, Banjara Hills.

In this program, Vikram Singh Mann, Addl. CP, L&O, Hyderabad, P. Viswa Prasad, Addl. CP, Traffic, Hyderabad City, Avinash Mohanty, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, Dr. Gajarao Bhupal, Jt.CP, Admin, Amrapali Kata, Commissioner, GHMC, Anudeep Durishetti, Collector, Hyderabad, Pratima Singh, Addl.Collector (Local Bodies), Ranga Reddy Dist., Ramesh, Joint Commissioner, Transport, Venkateshwarlu, Executive Director, TGRTC and officials from R&B (Electrical and Building), TGSPDCL, I&PR, Health and Family Welfare, HMDA, Irrigation, HMWS&SB, Tourism, EMRI-108, MMTS (South Central Railway), Metro Rail and Hyderabad City Police officers (Inspectors and above ranks of L&O and Traffic) and members of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi and Khairtabad Ganesh Utsav Samithi have participated.

During this meeting, representatives of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi and Khairatabad Ganesh Samithi raised issues concerning the festival, including potholes, the need for adequate illumination at specific locations, the availability of vehicles for mandapam organisers, and arrangements for food and water during the immersion night, etc. In response to these concerns, the authorities assured to allocate the necessary resources, both in terms of material and personnel, adequate number of cranes, road repair works, installation of lights, measures to prevent electrocution, providing tuskers and other heavy vehicles and tree-pruning, etc.

Further, the CP, Hyderabad City emphasized complying with the court orders and appealed to the Utsav Samithis to duly fill out the intimation forms and assured that the Police department will make elaborate arrangements for the Ganesh Festival to ensure that no trouble or inconvenience is caused to the devotees during the festivities and also sought cooperation from various departments for effective execution of plans and successful completion of Ganesh Festival 2024.(Maxim News)
